Design Motivations

  • Fast & simple
  • Little-to-zero typing needed
  • One-hand friendly
  • Transactional feel

Design Process

I began with a UX review of internal wireframes, pinpointing key areas of the user journey, starting with onboarding and activation.

Activation flow

We knew from reasearch that people are frustrated with gimmicky reward platforms.

We decided to eliminate any coupon associations, focusing on streamlining the app as a shopping experience.

While continuing to design for core features such funding/withdrawing, we focused in on a few key principles

  • Definitive gestures—all non-reversible actions are safe guarded by a slide to complete.

  • Haptic feedback on all key actions— to feel connected

  • Shallow structure—related actions within the same view

Challenges

Slow API and server calls was a big hurdle to make the app experience not feel disjointed, and perceived as unreliable.
